About the Author

I grew up in a small town in southern Alabama where everyone pretty much knows everyone. I’ve been through several traumas in my life, but this is by far the hardest to date. I was diagnosed with PTSD from the events described in the book and continue to deal with and overcome the effects it’s had on me.

I’ve always loved to journal and write my feelings so it was no surprise I documented my journey throughout this event. I believe that writing your feelings can be very healing and I did so for two years prior to this book.

I started painting in April of 2022 and continue that journey today. It’s my therapy. I currently sell my art online and social media. I enjoy including writings about each painting and expressing what I was feeling at the time.

My goal is to educate people on how easy this can happen to you, how to approach the situation and how to deal with the aftermath.
